On 10 June 2026, the Vienna Packaging Data Forum took place at the University of Applied Sciences Campus Vienna as a special edition of the Packforce Packaging Updates. The event focused on current questions around packaging data, transparency and the requirements of the EU PPWR.
Packaging Cockpit was proud to support the event as a sponsor and to contribute on stage. Our presentation focused on the Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and Technical Documentation (TD) – two key elements for making packaging data structured, traceable and reliable from a regulatory perspective.
With around 130 participants on site and more than 200 people joining online, the forum clearly showed the growing relevance of digital and data-based solutions for the packaging industry. The event provided practical insights into current developments, upcoming challenges and concrete approaches for building a future-ready packaging data landscape.
For Packaging Cockpit, one thing became clear once again: reliable data, shared standards and digital processes are essential for successfully meeting the requirements of the EU PPWR and supporting companies on their path toward greater transparency, compliance and sustainability.
